Terms of Service

Last Updated: July 19, 2026

1. Agreement

This Terms of Service Agreement ("Agreement") is between the developers of Specter ("Specter Team") and you ("User"). The Service ("Service", "Bot", "Specter") includes the Specter Discord bot and its website. By using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, stop using the Service immediately. For questions or inquiries, contact us using the information in section 11.

2. About Specter

Specter is a bot developed for the chat and social platform Discord (https://discord.com), provided by Discord Inc. Specter uses Discord's public API to provide moderation, anti-nuke and anti-raid protection, spam protection, tickets, economy, a counting game, a leveling system, application panels, and other server management tools, in compliance with Discord's Developer Terms and Community Guidelines. Users must use Specter in ways that align with both these Terms and Discord's policies. If you suspect misuse of Specter, please report it to us through our support server.

3. Usage Restrictions

You may not do the following while using Specter: use Specter in servers that violate Discord's Community Guidelines; send a high volume of commands in a short period of time; attempt to exploit, reverse engineer, or disrupt Specter in any way; or impersonate Specter or anyone on the Specter team.

4. Links, Buttons & Server-Configured Content

Specter lets server administrators configure their own text, embeds, buttons, and link buttons (including in ticket panels, application panels, welcome messages, and similar features). You are solely responsible for the content you configure. You may not use these features to distribute scams, phishing pages, fake giveaways or nitro offers, malware, token or credential grabbers, IP loggers, links that misrepresent their destination, or any other link or content that is malicious, deceptive, or in violation of Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. The Specter Team does not review, endorse, or guarantee the safety of any link or content configured by a server, and is not liable for any harm resulting from it. We may remove offending content and block the responsible user or server from the Service without notice, and may report the abuse to Discord.

5. Data Collection

To provide moderation, anti-nuke, anti-raid, ticket, economy, counting, leveling, and application features, Specter stores Discord user IDs, server IDs, moderation case history (including notes and moderator IDs), member snapshots (username, display name, nickname, avatar URL, roles, and join date), invite tracking data, quarantine records, ticket records, short-lived anti-raid signals, counting game statistics, leveling statistics (per-member XP and message counts), application records (including submitted answers and review outcomes), server configuration (including log channels and staff roles), and per-server economy balances and inventories. Ticket transcripts are posted into a channel chosen by the server's administrators and are not kept by Specter. Full details on what is collected, how it is used, and how to request deletion are in the Privacy Policy.

6. Anti-Nuke, Anti-Raid & Automated Actions

Specter's anti-nuke and anti-raid systems monitor server activity, joins, messages, and Discord audit logs and may automatically ban, kick, timeout, quarantine, strip roles from, or otherwise act against a user it flags as a threat, may automatically revert changes such as deleted channels or roles, and may automatically lock channels, pause invites, or raise the server's verification level during a suspected raid. These actions are automated and may occasionally be triggered incorrectly. The Specter Team is not liable for any automated action taken in good faith, including false positives, and does not guarantee reversal of any such action.

7. Economy Features

Specter's economy features (including wallet and bank balances, gambling-style games, and shop items) use entirely virtual currency with no real-world monetary value. This currency cannot be redeemed, exchanged, sold, or transferred for real money or anything of value outside of Specter. Balances and inventories may be reset, adjusted, or wiped at any time without compensation.

8. Service Termination

The Specter Team reserves the right, at any time and without notice, to modify the Service (including removing a feature), discontinue the Service, or block a user or server from accessing the Service.

9. Legal Information

The Service and all its assets are the property of the Specter Team. You may not copy, modify, or distribute Specter's code or features without permission from the team. Specter is provided "as is," with no warranty of uptime, security, or error-free operation. The User agrees to hold the Specter Team harmless from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from use of the Service. These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of United States courts.

10. Modifications to These Terms

By continuing to use Specter after changes have been posted, you agree to those changes. Updates to these Terms will be announced in our support server.
